Not every firefighter needs to run into burning buildings, what happens outside a fire is just as important as what happens inside
Responsibilities include: operating deck gun or handline, connecting the engine to the hydrant, setting up escape ladders, dragging hand lines to the house for an interior attack, and much more
Interior
Interior firefighters do more than just spray water inside of a house, they are responsible for the evacuation of a structure, testing environments for dangerous gases, understanding how to work safely under pressure, and much more
This position requires members to join as exterior and attend training and classes on how to effectively and safely operate during dangerous situations

General Requirements
Minimum 50 credits to maintain active member status, 25 are mandatory training
OSHA and Hazmat certifications (16-hour course)
Attend 6 department business meetings a year (3rd Monday of every month)
